4 eggs
1 c. oil
1 Qt. buttermilk
1-20oz. raisin bran cereal
5 c. flour
5 tsp soda
2 tsp salt
3 c. sugar

Mix together  in a large bowl.

Fill paper lined cups 2/3 full  and bake for 15-20 minutes at 350.

You may store this batter up to 1 month in your refrigerator and bake them fresh as you want them.

Makes about 6 doz.

Hi LC, Thanks for the Recipe. I noticed in some of your recipes that you use apple sauce. Could that work in this and how much and what to replace?

Sure, you can replace the oil with applesauce in this recipe.  You could also cut the fat by using only egg whites instead of whole eggs........or you can use a product like Egg Beaters or Second Nature.  Actually most cakes, etc. will work with applesauce instead of oil.........about all you can do is try it and see if it works.  I often make brownies from a mix and use applesauce to replace the oil..........(my favorite old fashioned brownie recipe calls for a lot of butter, which we stay away from, and I've found a mix that is at least passable).

p.s. if you don't like raisins, just substitute bran flakes.........or you could pick out the raisins from the cereal, if you want........... Grin
