Sure, you can replace the oil with applesauce in this recipe. You could also cut the fat by using only egg whites instead of whole eggs........or you can use a product like Egg Beaters or Second Nature. Actually
most cakes, etc. will work with applesauce instead of oil.........about all you can do is try it and see if it works. I often make brownies from a mix and use applesauce to replace the oil..........(my favorite old fashioned brownie recipe calls for a
lot of butter, which we stay away from, and I've found a mix that is at least passable).
p.s. if you don't like raisins, just substitute bran flakes.........or you could pick out the raisins from the cereal, if you want...........
